But within its depths lurks a shadow, a seductive lure that promises power at the cost of innocence. The Great Molasses Flood
On January 15th, 1919, Boston witnessed a disaster unlike any other. A massive tank filled with molasses burst open in the city's North End, unleashing a wave of sticky sweetness that swept through the streets like a tsunami. The flood, reaching heights 25 feet in some areas, was catastrophic. Buildings were flattened under the power of the treacherous goo.
